Learn More

Over 3.0 billion tyres are commercially transacted worldwide each year and an equivalent amount is disposed of by the end of their life. Australia contributes in excess of 56 million end-of-life tyres to this tally annually.

Additionally, around 350 million tonnes of plastic waste are produced globally each year. While plastic products often have a functional lifespan of about 10 years, they can persist for up to 500 years in the environment. The ineffective management of both tyre and plastic waste pose a significant impact on the environment and various ecosystems across the globe.

Nanograph tackles this global environmental challenge by converting waste tyres and plastics into value-added products. Using cutting-edge and sustainable technologies, Nanograph transforms these recycled raw materials into high value resources and products such as oils and fuels like “Eco Diesel,” and high-grade quality graphene for use in advanced high-tech applications. This innovative approach not only reduces landfill waste but also creates versatile, eco-friendly solutions for industries worldwide.

By addressing both tyre and plastic waste, Nanograph is at the forefront of revolutionising recycling processes, providing a sustainable pathway for a cleaner future.

Environmental Social Impact

Supporting Forest Conservation and Reducing Plastic Waste

Between 2003 and 2017, over 5 million hectares of natural forest were converted into rubber plantations across Southeast Asia and Sub-Saharan Africa. Additionally, plastic waste continues to accumulate globally, posing a significant environmental threat.

Nanograph’s recycling technology creates an “infinity effect,” enabling rubber and plastics to be continuously recycled. By cutting the need for new rubber production and keeping plastics out of landfills, we help protect rainforests, conserve energy, and reduce reliance on hydrocarbons—creating a lasting environmental impact.
